Footnote.com is working in conjunction with the Virginia Division Sons
of Confederate Veterans to offer a 30% donation toward the Oakwood
Restoration Fund for each new membership they receive through the link
from the Virginia Division Web site (located at <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.scvva.org">http://www.scvva.org</a>).
You must click on the Footnote.com button located in the announcement
column of the Virginia Division Web site home page because it has the
affiliate coding identifying the Virginia Division in order for Oakwood
to receive the donation. If you go directly to Footnote.com and sign up
there, the donation will not be sent to Oakwood. <br>
<br>
Footnote is an excellent source to print military service records and
pension records for our Confederate Veterans when researching genealogy
or providing documentation for SCV membership. Additional content is
continually being added to Footnote and many photos from the War
Between the States have been posted. <br>
<br>
NOTE: The donation only applies to new subscriptions to Footnote and
therefore current Footnote members that use the automatic renewal
option will not receive the 30% donation to Oakwood. Current Footnote
SCV members would need to let their subscription expire and then sign
up again using the link from the Division Web site in order to qualify
for the 30% donation to the Oakwood Restoration Fund. <br>
<br>
Listed below is the welcome page designed by Footnote specifically for
SCV members. Please consider signing up for Footnote to assist with
your camp or family genealogy while providing a donation to the Oakwood
Restoration Fund. I would like to encourage any SCV camps with Web
sites to place the coding below on your camp Web site. This coding will
place a Footnote button and the proper affiliate coding onto your site
for viewers to sign up for Footnote there as well and ensure that
Oakwood receives the donation. <br>
<br>
Please copy coding exactly to use on your camp Web sites:<br>
