[VAcourier] Virginia State Flag Color Bearer at the 2008 Reunion in North Carolina

For those planning to attend the 2008 Reunion in North Carolina, we have 
the opportunity to designate one color bearer from the State of Virginia 
to carry a period Virginia flag at the opening ceremony (see the 
information below). I have the staff and two different styles of 
Virginia flags and the flag stand. Obviously what we need now is a 
volunteer with a period correct uniform that would advance and post the 
colors.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you or someone in your camp is 
interested in bringing their uniform to the Reunion and carrying the 
Virginia State flag at the opening ceremony.

I am forwarding this request from the 2008 Reunion Committee which is 
requesting each division provide a uniformed color bearer for the 
opening ceremony.  Any questions and follow up should be directed to 
Compatriot Lyons who is being copied on this message.  If you received 
this in error because you no longer hold this office, please forward 
this to your successor and advise me of the new commander's name and 
contact information.  Thank you.
 
Please be advised that General Headquarters will be transporting one 
each of all contemporary state flags to the reunion, and your color 
bearer is welcome to use the flag for this ceremony.
