*APRIL 25,26,27 2008- Buchanan,VA. The Second Annual "Civil War Weekend" 
gets underway Friday April 25,2008 with educational programs for area 
school children.  Merchants in Period dress. Military encampments 
throughout the downtown area and along the banks of The James River, 
Civilians at home during the War by the UDC, _Emphasis on Living History 
presentations_. Night street skirmish. Downtown Parade by participants 
Saturday afternoon, Tea, and Fashion Show. Main Street battle downtown 
Saturday afternoon, period Ball Saturday night. Town-wide Period Church 
Service Sunday morning followed by "The Battle of Buchanan" Sunday 
afternoon. Bounties paid to the first six units to pre-register..(2 
Confederate Infantry/Cavalry, 2 Union Infantry/Cavalry and 2 
ArtilleryUnits). Information and registration forms at
