Gentlemen,

Please consider assisting this worthy cause.  The federal and Maryland 
state governments have tried to censure the truth and programs about 
what was done to Confederate soldiers at Point Lookout POW camp in 
Maryland.  The PLPOW group purchased property near the mass grave and 
monument to the dead from Point Lookout to erect a memorial park and 
teach the truth of the actions there.  Below is a call for assistance:



We won't be able to move forward to our final Phase III in Confederate 
Memorial Park, without  $25,000.00 to give to the sculptor for our POW 
statue down payment. We can work on raising the rest of the payment, 
once we get the down payment money to start the ball rolling with the 
sculptor . 

We're about to come to a stand-still  in Confederate Memorial 
Park because when the  final flag poles are purchased /installed  and we 
pay for some labor to do the rest of the  ground work, our treasure 
chest will be empty!

 

We desperately need $25,000.00 to give as a down payment to the sculptor 
to start our POW statue work. If you possibly know of  any businesses  
that would contribute to this worthwhile cause, please ask them. We're 
tax deductible.  Or, if you know of any society or business that would 
give a grant, please ask them. Or if you know of any other way to raise  
money for this project, please do so! We're down to the final stage and 
we need to get the POW statue phase moving. Thanks.
