We just received this e-mail from Compatriot Marc Ramsey about the
cancellation of the play "Robert E. Lee, The Final Achievement" which
was scheduled for April 20, 21, & 22 and May 4, 5, & 6. The lead actor
is undergoing treatments for an illness and a substitute actor cannot be
found in time to continue with the production.
_____________________
It is with a deep sense of regret that I must announce that the
forthcoming production of "Robert E. Lee, the Final Achievement," has
been canceled. Our lead actor, around whom the play revolves, has just
been diagnosed with a debilitating illness, and is already in
treatment. We have attempted to find his replacement, but there is
none, and so before this venture goes any farther in terms of advance
ticket sales, publicity, expenditures of limited resources, and time
commitments from dozens of people, we have decided that our only viable
option is to cancel production as of this date. We wish to offer our
deepest thanks and appreciation to all of you who have contributed to
this endeavor up to this point, and we now ask you all to join us in our
prayers for Curtis Morrisette, that he may enjoy a full recovery and
return to the peak of health.
Best regards,
Marc and Jill Ramsey
