Dear Fellow Southerner:

 

By now you have seen various notices of the Robert E. Lee Bicentennial
Symposium hosted by the Stephen D. Lee Institute of the Sons of Confederate
Veterans on Saturday, April 28, in Arlington, Virginia, at the Key Bridge
Marriott Hotel.  This is the last call to register because space is filling
up, and only a few slots remain open.  

 

If you're like a lot of folks, you tend to wait till the last possible
moment to make your decision whether to attend an event like this,
especially when cost and travel are involved.  And it's true - the Lee
Symposium costs $150.  It is NOT going to be some jack-leg, second-rate
event, but one worthy of its subject.  Nowadays that's a reasonable price
for an event of this type, which includes luncheon and banquet, free
parking, and the hospitality of the Marriott's fine meeting facilities.

 

It is no exaggeration to say that there will never be another symposium of
this quality and national prominence to set the record straight once and for
all about the life and example of Robert E. Lee against the rising tide of
Politically Correct lies and historical slander.  Seldom if ever again will
you get a chance to hear and interact with such nationally recognized
scholars and historians as Clyde Wilson, Tom DiLorenzo, John Dwyer, Kent
Masterson Brown, Donald Livingston, Robert Krick, and SCV National Commander
Chris Sullivan.
