Museum of the Confederacy Poll show strong favoritism for the museum

Roanoke based TV station WDBJ 7 had a scientific poll conducted of the
western Virginia area by SurveyUSA which questioned 500 adults randomly
about the museum. Overwhelming support was found for the museum to
retain its Confederate appeal. Of those surveyed 80% favored the museum
retaining the word CONFEDERACY in its name this included a 48% approval
from the African-Americans surveyed. Opinion is also strong that the
museum should remain in Richmond. The only potential relocation site
mentioned in the survey was Lexington which received 22% as a potential
relocation site. Only 17% favored any other locations or were unsure of
where the museum should be located.
